Twenty Matatū players have been recognised on the national stage after being named across the Black Ferns and Black Ferns XV squads announced today.

The Matatū whānau came together to celebrate a season like no other. Five years of Matatū - five years inspiring the next generation, building our brand of rugby, and taking Matatū to the world.

Matatū's Super Rugby Aupiki campaign has ended in heartbreak, falling 28-21 to nib Blues Women after a dramatic grand final at One New Zealand Stadium in Christchurch.

Amy du Plessis becomes the first Matatū player to reach the Glacier Five-Season Milestone, a new recognition that honours players whose impact is felt widely throughout our organisation.

Matatū will host the first home final in the club's history, with One New Zealand Stadium set to stage a blockbuster Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Grand Final against nib Blues Women. 

Fans are in for a special afternoon of rugby and entertainment, with award-winning country pop artist Kaylee Bell confirmed to perform at halftime of the Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Grand Final at One New Zealand Stadium on Saturday 25 July.

We’ve done it! For the first time in our history, we are hosting a home Super Rugby Aupiki Final, in front of our whānau right here in Christchurch.  The final is locked in for Saturday 25 July, with Matatū set to take on the nib Blues Women and tickets are now on sale.  

Matatū will host a Super Rugby Aupiki final for the first time in club history, finishing top of the table despite a 38–29 loss to nib Blues Women in the final round robin clash in Christchurch.

Round 6 of Sky Super Rugby Aupiki is upon us, with everything still in play at the top of the table. Matatū, the nib Blues Women and Hurricanes Poua are all fighting for finals positioning – and with it, the right to host.

Matatū's unbeaten run came to a dramatic end in Timaru on Saturday afternoon, with Hurricanes Poua scoring after the full-time siren to claim a 33-31 victory. 

Matatū are heading south this weekend, taking Super Rugby Aupiki to the heart of the region as we prepare to face Hurricanes Poua at Fraser Park in Timaru on Saturday afternoon. 

Matatū arrived in Pukekohe off the back of a hard-earned win over the top-of-the-table Blues Women last week, ready to face Chiefs Manawa for the third consecutive week on the road. 

Matatū returns north this week to face Chiefs Manawa at Navigation Homes Stadium in Pukekohe, with kick-off set for 3.05pm on Saturday 4 July. 

Matatū have surged to the top of the Super Rugby Aupiki table, delivering a composed 27–21 win over defending champions nib Blues Women in Pukekohe to remain unbeaten through three rounds.
