Kaylee Bell to headline half-time entertainment at Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Grand Final
Fans are in for a special afternoon of rugby and entertainment, with award-winning country pop artist Kaylee Bell confirmed to perform at halftime of the Sky Super Rugby Aupiki Grand Final at One New Zealand Stadium on Saturday 25 July.
One of New Zealand's most successful musicians, Bell is proud to be a part of one of the biggest days on the women’s rugby calendar.
"I love being involved in anything that shines a light on women doing incredible things. Whether it's music, sport or business, it's important that women have a platform to showcase their talents and inspire the next generation," says Bell.
"The growth of women's rugby over the last few years has been amazing to watch, and it's exciting to be part of an event that celebrates that. I'm looking forward to being back in Christchurch performing at the stadium and helping make the Grand Final an unforgettable experience."
A multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, Bell has spent years holding the title of Australasia's most streamed female country artist. Her global audience continues to grow, and in 2025 she released her critically acclaimed album Cowboy Up, further cementing her place as a powerhouse country artist, whilst navigating life as a new mother.
The half-time performance comes as fans from across New Zealand prepare to descend on One New Zealand Stadium to celebrate the best of women's rugby and witness the crowning of the 2026 Sky Super Rugby Aupiki champion.
Matatū General Manager Sarah Munro says the addition of Kaylee Bell is a special one for not only the occasion, but Matatū itself.
"Kaylee Bell is one of New Zealand's most loved performers and we're so excited she'll be part of the day that will showcase women's rugby at its very best. She’s known globally, but for us, she is a fearless wahine from Waimate, in the heart of the Matatū region, who had a dream and followed it,” says Munro.
“She’s raising a family while doing what she loves and is continuing to reach new heights every day by showing what hard work and determination can do – exactly what we strive for here at Matatū. She’s an inspiration to all of us and we can’t wait to see her take the stage this weekend and be an inspiration for the next generation of young fans."
Bell's performance adds to what is already shaping up to be a memorable afternoon, as Matatū hopes to break their own standalone domestic women’s rugby attendance record set in Round 1 of the competition where almost 12,000 fans packed into One New Zealand Stadium.
Tickets are selling fast, and fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early to be part of an unforgettable day combining great rugby action with world-class entertainment.
