Winnie Palamo is one of the exciting young outside backs emerging through the New Zealand rugby system, bringing speed, athleticism, and natural instinct to the Matatū backline. After making a rapid rise through the Canterbury pathway, Palamo impressed with her attacking flair and ability to create opportunities in open space during the Farah Palmer Cup.

A gifted multi-sport athlete, Winnie has a background in netball and athletics, with her athletic versatility and explosive pace translating seamlessly into rugby. She continues to develop into a dangerous finisher on the wing and an exciting young talent within the Matatū environment.

Still early in her rugby journey, Palamo is regarded as a player with enormous potential and is continuing to grow her game within the Matatū and Canterbury environments.
