First Matatū Squad for 2023 Named

The Matatū coaching staff have named their first squad for the 2023 season ahead of their pre-season clash with the Hurricanes Poua in Wellington this Saturday.

The team features plenty of World Cup winners in a game that will go a long way to help the squad prepare for opening round of Super Rugby Aupiki in Dunedin next week.

Assistant Coach Whitey Hansen says she’s excited to see her team get back on the park

“The girls have been working really hard over the last few weeks building the foundation for what we hope will be a successful season.”

As a coaching group, we’re just looking forward to the team getting a bit of a run around and testing some combinations before the Aupiki season starts next week.”

Kickoff is at 11:30am, Saturday the 18th of February at Porirua Park.
