Maddi Robinson has rapidly emerged as one of New Zealand rugby’s exciting front-row talents, earning selection for the Black Ferns after a string of impressive performances for Matatū and Canterbury. A powerful prop with strong set-piece ability and high work rate around the field, Robinson continues to grow her impact at both provincial and Super Rugby Aupiki level.

After progressing through the Canterbury rugby pathway, Maddi gained national recognition through the Black Ferns XV programme before stepping up to the Black Ferns environment in 2026. She featured throughout the Pacific Four Series campaign, showcasing her physicality and composure against international opposition. 

Still early in her professional career, Robinson is regarded as one of the country’s rising front-row prospects and continues to build valuable experience within the Matatū environment.
