Jorja Simpson

Role: Team Manager

Jorja Simpson joined the Matatū environment as Assistant Manager, bringing a strong background in both rugby and athlete development. A former New Zealand Universities Rugby representative, Jorja combines her playing experience with a passion for supporting athletes to perform at their best.

A graduate of the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Sport Coaching, majoring in Sports Leadership and Management and Strength and Conditioning with Nutrition, Jorja brings a player-first approach to the management environment. She is passionate about helping players thrive and creating an environment where athletes can feel confident and supported.

Originally from Taranaki, Jorja enjoys returning home whenever she can to spend time with whānau and create special memories away from rugby.
