Chey Robins-Reti

Cheyelle joins Matatu for the first time with a wealth of overseas and international experience. Originally from Taranaki, Robins-Reti moved to Perth with her Mother before coming back to New Zealand to study. In 2016, she debuted for Waikato where she soon sparked the interest of the Black Ferns sevens side.

It was in 2017 where she debuted for the sevens side in Las Vegas. She also played sevens in Japan for the Hokkaido Barbarians before returning to New Zealand in 2019. After some good rugby in 2020, Robins-reti made her debut for the Black Ferns in 2021.

Robins-Reti played for Matatū in 2023, winning the Super Rugby Aupiki title and scored a hattrick in a crucial semi-final win against the Blues. More recently, Robins-Reti has just finished her first season in NRLW, playing for the Canberra Raiders, where she averaged an impressive 162 run metres per game
