Otago outside back Charlotte Va’afusuaga returns to Matatū for the 2026 season, continuing her development within the squad. A pacey and skillful back, she brings energy and attacking intent to the backline.

Having built her game with Otago Spirit, Va’afusuaga continues to grow at provincial level. Her ability to find space and contribute in open play adds depth to the Matatū backline as she builds on her experience in the Aupiki environment.
