Alana Bremner

As your Matatū captain for 2023, Alana Bremner is no rookie to professional experience. She became the first woman to notch up 50 matches for Lincoln University before achieving the same feat for the woman's Canterbury side.

Following her good form she played for both the New Zealand Development and Barbarians sides before debuting for the Black Ferns in 2021 against England where she played alongside her sister Chelsea. More recently, both Alana and her sister were part of the Black Ferns team that won the Women's Rugby World Cup.

Alana Captained Matatū to their first Super Rugby Aupiki title in 2023, defeating the Chiefs Manawa in a thriller at FMG Stadium, Waikato.
