Rosie Kelly

Kelly returns to Matatū after successful stints with both the Otago and Canterbury side over the past few FPC seasons. Originally from the West Coast, Kelly made the journey to Christchurch to give herself more opportunities with her sporting endeavours. She attended Christchurch Girls High School where she played a pivotal role in their success alongside current Matatū teammate Grace Brooker.

2020 was a particularly successful year which saw Kelly play for the New Zealand Barbarians and trial for the Black Ferns in the possibles team.

Kelly owned the all-important number 10 jersey for Matatū in 2023, helping lead them to their first title and earning her first Black Ferns contract as a result of her efforts. She made her debut for the Black Ferns off the bench against Australia on the 29th of June, 2023.
